What's Important
Well, if you came here, you must want to read this, so I'll get right to
the point.
God is what's ultimately important in life. In fact, without God there
would be no life for us to say what is important or what is not. God
created us to be with Him. Unfortunately, we became naturally evil almost
at once because of Satan's influence. As a result, we couldn't be with
God anymore--we weren't good enough.
Fortunately, God, the good God that He is, provided a way so that we could
be with Him. He sent His son Jesus, the very being He loved most, as a
sacrifice for ALL of our wrongs. Without this sacrifice, we could never
be with God. But with this sacrifice, we can be with Him forever--Jesus
has wiped all of our wrongs away.
God created us to be like Himself. Therefore, we can understand one of
God's greatest desires: the desire for companionship. We as humans can
fulfill God's desire for companionship, if we want to. All it takes is a
simple choice to live our lives for Him instead of for ourselves.
God likens our relationship with Him to a marriage. In a marriage, both
husband and wife commit to love each other unconditionally for life. This
love is then expressed by actions: communication, interest in the other
and the other's wishes, desire to serve the other. So it is with God and
us--we love God so much that we can't help but try and live our lives
to His standard, and He loves us so much that He'll do everything to
help us along the way.
